Lifelong Communities At Work

Dr. David DeLong will speak on “Confronting Threats – and Opportunities – in an Aging Workforce” on August 4, 7:30 AM – 12 Noon, at the Fawcett Center. Dr. DeLong works with the MIT Age Lab, and is author of “Lost Knowledge: Confronting the Threat of an Aging Workforce” and “The Executive Guide to High-Impact Talent Management.” The OSU Office of Geriatrics and Gerontology is working closely with the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission, Senior Independence, and others on a Lifelong Communities (LLC) initiative to better integrate our community for all ages.  Lifelong Communities provide an environment that fosters lifelong amenities, whether it’s workforce opportunities, the built environment, housing, transportation, social services, and much more. The August 4 event will focus on workforce aspects of Lifelong Communities and is appropriate for faculty, staff and students interested in many aspects of our aging society—workforce development, city planning, healthcare fields, education, social sciences, and more.  REGISTER NOW at  Contact: Linda Mauger, Program Director, Office of Geriatrics and Gerontology, at
