For the past several years, The Ohio State Office of Geriatrics and Gerontology has worked closely with the American Association of Service Coordinators (AASC) to provide professional development and continuing education for many of you working with our older adults across the nation.  The American Association of Service Coordinators (AASC) is a national not-for-profit member association whose 2800+ members assist elderly, disabled residents and families living in affordable housing communities to identify, locate and acquire the services and supports necessary for them to become and remain self-sufficient. AASC members include service coordinators, family self-sufficiency coordinators, property and quality assurance managers and affordable housing professionals, community action agencies and supportive service providers.  And once a year, AASC members and other professionals passionate about caring for the older population come together at the 2012 National Service Coordinator Conference.
